About UPS & Our Culture

The twilight shift is one of the highest-volume sort windows in the entire UPS network, processing the enormous wave of packages picked up from businesses throughout the workday. If you are searching for UPS warehouse jobs that align perfectly with a daytime school schedule or a morning-shift primary job, our twilight sort operation — typically running 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM — is the ideal entry into one of America's most respected logistics careers. These warehouse jobs come with full union representation and real long-term potential.

What Our Team Says (Employee Reviews)

"The twilight shift fits my life perfectly. I go to class in the morning, work at UPS in the evening, and my tuition is being covered by Earn & Learn. The shift itself is fast and the team is incredibly motivated — everyone knows we have a hard window to hit and we go after it together. These are the best UPS warehouse jobs for students, hands down." - Current Twilight Warehouse Associate, Chicago, IL.

Role Overview & Responsibilities

As a UPS Twilight Shift Warehouse Associate, you process the peak commercial pickup volume of the day during the evening sort window. You will rotate through loading, sorting, and unloading functions as directed by your sort manager within our package center.

  • Commercial Pickup Processing: Sort the high-density commercial package volume collected from business pickups during the day, routing each parcel accurately onto outbound belts and trailers for overnight transport.
  • Multi-Function Rotation: Work fluidly across unloading, sorting, and loading assignments as the twilight sort manager redistributes labor to balance throughput across the facility's busiest evening hours.
  • Sort Accuracy Compliance: Maintain UPS's required sort accuracy rate by carefully verifying destination labels and barcode scans before releasing any package onto an outbound conveyor.

Benefits & Perks

Twilight Warehouse Associates receive Teamsters union wages with annual progression raises, medical, dental, and vision benefits, pension accrual, paid personal time, and the UPS Earn & Learn tuition program. The evening shift window makes this one of the most student-friendly warehouse jobs in the market.
