Conflicts Researcher with Intapp Open & Law Firm Experience (Remote)

Job Description Job Description Job Description Remote for now, but must be based in NYC, Chicago, or Los Angeles Our client, a prestigious Am Law 100 law firm, is seeking a Conflicts Researcher II to join its Risk & Compliance team. This role supports the Office of the General Counsel and the Conflicts & New Business Intake Department by providing legal research, analysis, and guidance on conflicts of interest, ethics, compliance, and professional responsibility matters. Key Responsibilities: Conduct independent research on corporations, government agencies, and individuals using internal and external sources to verify data. Maintain and update corporate hierarchies (family trees) in conflicts and billing databases. Analyze research findings and conflicts reports to identify and assess potential conflicts of interest for new matters and incoming hires. Communicate with attorneys and staff regarding conflicts results and advise on resolution strategies. Collaborate with Conflicts Department leadership on complex issues requiring further review by the Office of the General Counsel. Research mergers, acquisitions, and bankruptcies; document findings in the conflicts database. Address thrust-upon conflicts and propose actionable solutions in coordination with Conflicts Attorneys and General Counsel. Track and document conflicts resolutions and related notes. Participate in special research and analysis projects as needed. Skills & Attributes: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment. Team-oriented with a commitment to high-quality service delivery. Qualifications: Bachelors degree strongly preferred; 4+ years of relevant law firm experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Minimum of 2 years of experience in conflicts research or a related role within a law firm or professional services environment. Proficiency with conflicts-related software and legal research tools; experience with Intapp Open is preferred. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with standard research methodologies and procedures.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in conflicts research or a related role
  • Bachelors degree strongly preferred
  • 4+ years of relevant law firm experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Proficiency with conflicts-related software and legal research tools
  • Experience with Intapp Open preferred
