Principal Product Manager, Ship with Amazon

Description

Join Amazon Shipping (SWA) to build the next $100B initiative. Shape the future of shipping as part of a new, emerging business, solving the biggest customer pain points in the small-parcel logistics industry globally.

As a Principal PM, you will own the strategic vision and long-term roadmap for the Sales tooling products that power Amazon Shipping's go-to-market engine. Partnering across Sales, Sales Ops, and Marketing Ops, you'll define and deliver the products that make our sellers more productive, improve customer experience, and optimize cost. This is a role for someone who originates the vision for a hard, multi-org problem, builds the alignment to fund and land it, and owns it through delivery — pairing deep empathy for frontline sellers with the leadership to drive a long-term product strategy from concept to measured outcome.

The ideal candidate has personally OWNED complex products end-to-end — setting the roadmap and long-term vision and delivering the capabilities, not just authoring strategy for others to build. They bring a track record of building products on top of CRM platforms for sales teams, empathy earned by sitting with BDMs and translating their pain into product, and the durability to carry initiatives through completion — including through messy, cross-org stakeholder dynamics. Experience shipping AI/GenAI features responsibly rounds out the profile.

Key job responsibilities

Originate and own the long-term vision and roadmap for Sales tooling products across Amazon Shipping — building the alignment machinery (business case, narrative, senior leader + buy-in) to fund and land it

Own initiatives end-to-end, from strategy through execution to measured business outcomes — not strategy authored and handed off

Partner deeply with Sales, Sales Ops, and Marketing Ops — sitting with BDMs, observing workflows, and translating frontline pain into product

Navigate and calm messy, multi-team situations; deliver difficult messages diplomatically and drive alignment across organizational boundaries

Build products on top of CRM platforms for sales teams, and ship AI/GenAI features responsibly

Work directly with engineering to build exceptional products, including integrating 3P products into the broader ecosystem

Engage stakeholders to prioritize features and drive go-to-market strategies, making appropriate trade-offs across time-to-market, technical, and business outcomes

Influence executive leadership and drive alignment across multiple teams on long-term priorities

Display a self-starter mentality and dive below the surface to uncover the "so what," not just the symptoms

Up to 10% travel

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

7+ years of end to end product delivery experience

Experience defining roadmap strategy and prioritizing deliverables for your team products

Experience managing competing priorities and using metrics to drive business decisions

Experience influencing multiple stakeholders and leading cross functional teams across geographies and business units

10+ years of Salesforce ecosystem experience

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree, or MBA in management, business administration, economics, engineering, marketing

Experience with AI/ML technologies

One or more Salesforce certifications

Experience in logistics, shipping, or supply chain technology industries

Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.

Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers. 2. HOW DO YOU USE THE DIFFERENT COMMUNICATION TOOLS IN DIFFERENT SITUATIONS?

When you're working on a remote team, there's no way to chat in the hallway between meetings or catch up on the latest project during an office carpool. Therefore, virtual communication will be absolutely essential to get your work done...

5. HOW DO YOU PROCESS INFORMATION?

Several years ago, I was working in a team to plan a big event. My supervisor made us all work as a team before the big day. One of our activities has been to find out how each of us processes information...

6. HOW DO YOU MANAGE THE CALENDAR AND THE PROGRAM? WHICH APPLICATIONS / SYSTEM DO YOU USE?

7. HOW DO YOU ORGANIZE FILES, LINKS, AND TABS ON YOUR COMPUTER?

Just like your schedule, how you track files and other information is very important. After all, everything is digital!...

8. HOW TO PRIORITIZE WORK?

9. HOW DO YOU PREPARE FOR A MEETING AND PREPARE A MEETING? WHAT DO YOU SEE HAPPENING DURING THE MEETING?

Just as communication is essential when working remotely, so is organization. Because you won't have those opportunities in the elevator or a casual conversation in the lunchroom, you should take advantage of the little time you have in a video or phone conference...

10. HOW DO YOU USE TECHNOLOGY ON A DAILY BASIS, IN YOUR WORK AND FOR YOUR PLEASURE?

This is a great question because it shows your comfort level with technology, which is very important for a remote worker because you will be working with technology over time...
