<h1>Senior Quality Automation Specialist, AVP</h1><p><strong>Location:</strong> Quincy, Massachusetts</p><p><strong>Time Type:</strong> Full time</p><h3>Job Description</h3><p><b>Who we are looking for</b></p><p>We are seeking a Senior Quality Automation Specialist, AVP, with 8+ years of intensive, hands-on automation engineering experience and a proven track record of designing, building, scaling, and maintaining enterprise-grade automation solutions. This is a specialist engineering role focused exclusively on automation delivery along with coordination activities.</p><p></p><p>The candidate must demonstrate deep expertise across Selenium, Tricentis Tosca, API and service automation, SoapUI/RestAssured, CI/CD-integrated execution, Service Virtualization, AWS, and AI-assisted automation engineering. Strong Banking and Payments domain experience is mandatory, including the ability to convert complex transaction workflows and operational controls into resilient automated validation solutions.</p><p>The role requires substantial on-ground automation development in addition to coordinating automation/functional work delivered by the India team. The successful candidate will work closely with the SQA team and the lead located in India while aligning automation backlogs, dependencies, technical standards, execution progress, and delivery outcomes.</p><p></p><p><b>Why this role is important to us</b></p><p>Automation is critical to improving release speed, repeatability, platform resilience, and engineering productivity across business-critical Banking and Payments applications. AI-enabled engineering practices.</p><p><b>What you will be responsible for</b></p><p><b>Intensive Automation Engineering</b></p><ul><li><p>Design, develop, debug, and maintain scalable enterprise automation frameworks using Selenium WebDriver, API, Service Virtualization and Tricentis Tosca.</p></li><li><p>Build robust, reusable automated solutions for complex web, service, API, data, and end-to-end Banking and Payments workflows.</p></li><li><p>Write high-quality automation code and reusable libraries using Java and/or Python, applying object-oriented design, clean-code principles, exception handling, logging, and configuration management.</p></li><li><p>Develop page-object, data-driven, keyword-driven, modular, and hybrid framework components appropriate to application architecture and delivery needs.</p></li><li><p>Engineer stable automated suites with effective waits, synchronization, reusable locators, recovery logic, parallel execution, cross-browser execution, and environment-independent configuration.</p></li><li><p>Diagnose flaky automation, execution failures, framework bottlenecks, and test-data dependencies, and implement permanent engineering solutions.</p></li><li><p>Maintain automation assets through application and service changes while continuously improving execution speed, stability, scalability, and maintainability.</p></li><li><p>90% responsible for performing hands-on automation scripting, code review participation, technical troubleshooting, test-data setup, execution analysis, and evidence generation on a regular basis.</p></li></ul><p><b>API and Service Automation</b></p><ul><li><p>Design and implement comprehensive REST and SOAP API automation using SoapUI, ReadyAPI, REST Assured, Postman, Newman, Karate, and equivalent enterprise-approved tools.</p></li><li><p>Create automated coverage for request and response payloads, schemas, headers, authentication, authorization, status codes, error handling, business rules, and service-level data integrity.</p></li><li><p>Automate API workflows using OAuth 2.0, JWT, API keys, certificates, session tokens, and other applicable enterprise authentication mechanisms.</p></li><li><p>Develop reusable API clients, service-object layers, payload builders, assertion libraries, environment configurations, and automated data setup and cleanup utilities.</p></li><li><p>Implement contract and schema validation using OpenAPI/Swagger specifications, JSON Schema, XML Schema, and consumer-driven contract approaches such as Pact where applicable.</p></li><li><p>Automate chained and stateful service workflows, asynchronous processing, callbacks, queues, batch interfaces, file-based services, and upstream/downstream dependencies.</p></li><li><p>Use service virtualization and mocking tools such as WireMock or equivalent solutions to automate testing when dependent services are unavailable or constrained.</p></li><li><p>Develop automated API performance and reliability checks using JMeter or equivalent tools where appropriate to the engineering scope.</p></li><li><p>Integrate API suites with Maven or Gradle builds, source control, reporting solutions, and CI/CD pipelines for unattended and parallel execution.</p></li></ul><p><b>Tricentis Tosca Automation</b></p><ul><li><p>Design and maintain Tosca modules, reusable test-step blocks, templates, test data, execution lists, recovery scenarios, and distributed execution configurations.</p></li><li><p>Apply Tosca model-based automation practices to complex web, API, and enterprise Banking workflows.</p></li><li><p>Optimize Tosca workspaces, reusable assets, synchronization, test-data management, and execution performance to support maintainable enterprise-scale automation.</p></li><li><p>Integrate Tosca automated execution with CI/CD pipelines and enterprise reporting mechanisms.</p></li></ul><p><b>Selenium Automation</b></p><ul><li><p>Develop and enhance Selenium automation frameworks using Java or Python with TestNG, JUnit, PyTest, Maven, or Gradle as applicable.</p></li><li><p>Implement reusable page objects, component libraries, utility layers, data providers, reporting, screenshot capture, retry controls, and parallel execution capabilities.</p></li><li><p>Integrate Selenium suites with Selenium Grid, cloud or enterprise browser infrastructure, source control, pipeline execution, and reporting tools.</p></li><li><p>Apply resilient locator strategies and synchronization techniques to modern dynamic web applications.</p></li></ul><p><b>AI-Assisted Automation Engineering</b></p><ul><li><p>Use approved AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, and enterprise AI assistants to accelerate automation code generation, refactoring, documentation, test-data creation, and maintenance.</p></li><li><p>Apply prompt-engineering and iterative-validation techniques to generate effective automation assets while ensuring all AI-generated content is technically reviewed, secure, explainable, and maintainable.</p></li><li><p>Use AI-assisted approaches to identify automation candidates, improve scenario coverage, analyze failures, detect flaky patterns, optimize scripts, and accelerate root-cause analysis.</p></li><li><p>Evaluate emerging AI-enabled automation capabilities and implement practical improvements that measurably increase automation productivity, coverage, stability, or execution speed.</p></li></ul><p><b>CI/CD and Automation Operations</b></p><ul><li><p>Integrate UI, API, service, and Tosca automation suites into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or equivalent enterprise platforms.</p></li><li><p>Configure scheduled, event-driven, pipeline-gated, parallel, and distributed automated execution across environments.</p></li><li><p>Implement automated reporting, logs, dashboards, failure classification, evidence capture, and quality gates for rapid and traceable execution analysis.</p></li><li><p>Manage automation configuration, secrets, dependencies, test data,
