Every holiday season, UPS hires thousands of seasonal drivers to handle the explosive surge in package volume that arrives with Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and the weeks leading up to Christmas. These UPS seasonal driver jobs are among the most sought-after temporary positions in the American job market — offering real UPS package car driver experience, competitive hourly wages, and a genuine pathway to a permanent full-time driver career. No CDL is required. No prior delivery driving experience is needed. What UPS needs is a reliable, motivated person with a clean driving record and the energy to keep up with peak season demand.

What Our Team Says (Employee Reviews)

"I came in as a seasonal driver fully expecting to go back to my old job in January. UPS offered me a permanent spot before Christmas arrived. The pay during peak with overtime was genuinely incredible — some weeks I took home more than I made in a full month at my previous job. The training was thorough, the supervisors were supportive, and driving a UPS truck around my own neighborhood for the holidays was honestly one of the best experiences I have had working. Do not sleep on UPS seasonal driver jobs." - Former Seasonal Driver, Now Full-Time Package Car Driver, Atlanta, GA.

Role Overview & Responsibilities

As a UPS Seasonal Driver, you operate a UPS package car during the November-through-January peak holiday window, delivering gifts and packages to residential customers and small businesses across your assigned route — no CDL required, full training provided before your first solo day on the road.

  • Seasonal Package Car Operation: Drive a company-provided UPS package car across an assigned residential delivery route during the holiday peak, completing 80 to 180 stops per day depending on route density and daily volume levels.
  • Holiday Customer Experience: Deliver packages to excited holiday recipients with the professionalism and care that the UPS brand demands — every package is a gift to a real family, and seasonal drivers represent UPS at the most emotionally meaningful delivery moments of the year.
  • Overtime Capture: Accept available overtime hours during Black Friday, Cyber Week, and pre-Christmas peak days to maximize your seasonal earning potential above the standard daily stop count.

Benefits & Perks

UPS Seasonal Drivers earn competitive hourly package car driver wages, significant overtime pay during peak weeks, and weekly direct-deposit paychecks from day one. No CDL required and full paid training provided. Seasonal drivers who perform reliably receive formal consideration for permanent full-time UPS driver positions — one of the most financially rewarding career outcomes any seasonal driver job can deliver.
