About UPS & Our Culture

Precision is the promise UPS makes to every customer, and our Quality Control team is the internal force that keeps that promise intact. QC Associates audit the sort operation in real time — catching misloads, verifying scan compliance, and inspecting load quality before a single truck leaves the building. If you are searching for analytical UPS warehouse jobs that reward a sharp eye and a methodical mindset over raw physical speed, Quality Control is the most intellectually engaging role on the sort floor. These are warehouse jobs that directly protect the UPS service guarantee and drive some of the strongest internal logistics careers in our operations network.

What Our Team Says (Employee Reviews)

"QC work suits my personality perfectly. I am not the fastest loader in the building, but I can spot a misload in three seconds and I find the audit process genuinely satisfying. Management noticed my accuracy rate and I was moved into a quality trainer role within a year. The UPS internal track rewards precision just as much as speed, and that is something most warehouse jobs never offer." - Current Quality Control Associate, Minneapolis, MN.

Role Overview & Responsibilities

As a UPS Quality Control Warehouse Associate, you conduct real-time audits of sort accuracy, load quality, and scan compliance across the active sort floor inside our package center, catching errors before they generate service failures for UPS customers.

  • Misload Auditing: Systematically scan packages inside loaded package cars against the assigned route manifest, identifying any package loaded into the wrong vehicle and immediately correcting the misload before the driver departs.
  • Scan Compliance Verification: Audit sort belt scan rates in real time, identifying packages that bypassed the scan tunnel without a valid read and manually scanning them into the system to maintain chain-of-custody accuracy.
  • Load Quality Inspection: Walk loaded package cars before departure to verify that load quality meets UPS standards — no overhanging packages, heavy items on shelves not floors, fragile items in protected positions — documenting violations and coaching loaders immediately.

Benefits & Perks

UPS Quality Control Associates receive Teamsters union wages, full medical, dental, and vision benefits, pension accrual, and the UPS Earn & Learn tuition assistance program. The analytical nature of this role creates a direct pathway into UPS operations management and industrial engineering career tracks.
