If you are searching for high-energy UPS warehouse jobs where speed and accuracy are celebrated daily, our hub sort operations represent the premier tier of warehouse jobs in the logistics industry. We run one of the most technologically advanced package sorting environments in the world.

What Our Team Says (Employee Reviews)

"The hub is intense — there is no other word for it. The conveyor systems are massive, the pace is relentless, and the team has to work in perfect sync. But the shift goes by incredibly fast, the overnight differential makes my paycheck significantly larger than any comparable warehouse job I have had, and UPS's safety culture is genuinely the best in the industry." - Current Hub Sorter, Louisville, KY.

Role Overview & Responsibilities

As a UPS Hub Sorter, you operate within a massive automated sort facility, manually reading and diverting packages across high-speed conveyor systems to ensure every parcel hits the correct outbound trailer for its regional destination.

  • High-Speed Label Reading: Rapidly identify destination zip codes and routing labels on packages traveling down fast-moving conveyor belts, diverting each package to the correct chute or belt with zero hesitation.
  • Jam Clearance & Flow Management: Monitor conveyor lines for package jams, double-stacked parcels, and belt misalignments, clearing obstructions immediately to maintain sort velocity targets.
  • Outbound Pallet Building: Pull sorted packages from destination chutes and stack them onto pallets in stable, weight-distributed configurations, shrink-wrapping finished pallets for outbound trailer loading.

Benefits & Perks

Hub Sorters earn a significant overnight shift differential on top of the base hourly wage. Teamsters union representation provides medical, dental, and vision coverage, a pension plan, and paid vacation. The UPS Earn & Learn tuition program is available to all eligible Hub Sorter employees from day one.
