Warehouse and Logistics Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Warehouse and Logistics Manager to lead our supply chain operations with energy and precision. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of warehouse management, transportation planning, and logistics coordination to ensure seamless flow of goods from procurement to delivery. Your leadership will drive process improvements, optimize inventory control, and implement lean methodologies to maximize efficiency. Responsibilities

  • Manage daily warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and order fulfillment to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
  • Oversee transportation management systems (TMS) and warehouse management systems (WMS) to streamline logistics workflows.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives utilizing lean principles to enhance process efficiency, reduce waste, and improve safety standards.
  • Coordinate with third-party logistics providers (3PL), NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier), freight carriers, and fleet management teams to optimize transportation routes and costs.
  • Develop demand planning, production planning, and procurement strategies aligned with supply chain analytics for accurate forecasting and inventory control.
  • Supervise warehouse staff including supervisors, forklift operators, dispatchers, and materials handlers to foster a high-performance team environment.
  • Monitor budget adherence, perform cost analysis, and manage profit & loss (P&L) statements related to warehouse and logistics activities.
  • Implement ERP systems such as AS400 for data accuracy, reporting, and supply chain visibility.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, shipping & receiving standards, and warehouse distribution protocols.
  • Drive supply chain initiatives that improve overall operations management through process improvement techniques and continuous feedback loops.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in warehouse supervision or logistics management with a strong background in warehouse experience and operations management.
  • Extensive knowledge of supply chain management concepts including inventory management, procurement, freight forwarding, dispatching, and order fulfillment.
  • Proficiency in transportation planning systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP platforms like AS400, and supply chain analytics tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams supervising warehouse staff while fostering a culture of continuous improvement using lean methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of profit & loss statements, budgeting processes, demand planning, production planning, and process improvement strategies.
  • Hands-on experience with forklift operation certification preferred; familiarity with fleet management is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills combined with the ability to analyze data for decision-making in a fast-paced environment.
