The Role

We're looking for a Data Analyst who is a true SQL expert, understands accounting and financial systems, and enjoys working with people.

The ideal candidate is someone who genuinely enjoys digging into complex databases, writing sophisticated SQL queries, troubleshooting data issues, and figuring out how systems work. Just as importantly, they understand the business behind the data, particularly accounting, finance, and ERP processes.

This is a client-facing role, so strong interpersonal skills are essential. We're looking for someone who is personable, professional, approachable, and comfortable translating complex technical information into practical solutions for clients.

You'll work primarily with Oracle databases, PL/SQL, reporting tools, and business applications to develop solutions that improve reporting, streamline processes, and support our clients' operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, troubleshoot, and optimize complex SQL and Oracle PL/SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
  • Analyze financial, accounting, and operational data within Oracle-based ERP and line-of-business systems.
  • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards using Crystal Reports, Power BI, and other reporting tools.
  • Work with accounting and financial data, including general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and related business processes.
  • Perform database extractions, data transformations, migrations, and reconciliations while maintaining data accuracy and integrity.
  • Collaborate directly with clients to understand business requirements, investigate issues, and develop effective data solutions.
  • Troubleshoot complex database, reporting, and application issues, identifying root causes and implementing lasting solutions.
  • Document queries, processes, and technical solutions while communicating findings clearly to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications
  • SQL expertise: Strong proficiency writing, debugging, and optimizing complex SQL queries. Hands-on Oracle PL/SQL experience is essential.
  • Accounting/finance background: Practical experience working with accounting, financial reporting, ERP systems, or financial data. Must understand accounting concepts and how financial transactions flow through business systems.
  • Strong database knowledge: Solid understanding of relational databases, data structures, joins, stored procedures, database design, and query performance optimization.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills: Personable, approachable, professional, and comfortable building relationships and communicating directly with clients.
  • Analytical problem-solving: Ability to investigate complex data issues, identify discrepancies, and develop accurate, efficient solutions.
  • Clear communication: Ability to explain technical findings to nontechnical users and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Self-direction: Organized, detail-oriented, and able to independently manage priorities while collaborating with a team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Oracle-based ERP or financial management systems.
  • Experience developing reports using Crystal Reports and Power BI.
  • Familiarity with financial reporting, data reconciliation, and accounting workflows.
  • Experience with data integrations, ETL processes, SSIS, or database migrations.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft PowerApps, SharePoint, Azure, or related business technologies.
  • Experience with C#, .NET, Python, or other programming languages.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Location & Employment Requirements

This position is open only to candidates currently residing in Florida, with a strong preference for the Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach County areas.

  • This is a hybrid-remote position supporting clients in the Miami area. While much of the work can be performed remotely, occasional onsite client visits are required.
  • Candidates must be able to travel to Miami-area client locations as needed.
  • Applicants currently residing outside Florida or internationally will not be considered.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must successfully complete a background check.
  • This is a full-time position with a 90-day introductory period.
Sound Like You?

If you're passionate about SQL, understand the financial side of business systems, and enjoy helping clients solve complex problems, we'd love to hear from you.
