Digital Marketing Intern: SEO, GEO & Local Search (Remote, U.S. Students/Residents)

Current U.S. Residents and U.S. University Students / Recent Graduates only please

About Silverfox Digital

Silverfox Digital is a growing international digital marketing agency with a global team spanning from across three continents. We are looking for ambitious, self-driven university students to join us on the ground floor of a U.S. expansion, specializing in the future of search visibility.

The Role

This is a highly flexible, low-commitment internship designed specifically to fit around a demanding academic schedule. At just 5 hours per week, you will gain hands-on experience in Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), and Local Search. You will work directly with our leadership team to help build our search presence and develop strategies to ensure our US clients rank prominently in both traditional search engines and AI-driven search platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Local Search & Mapping: Assist in researching and developing local SEO strategies, including Google Business Profile optimization and local citation building for targeted US markets.
  • Generative Engine Optimization (GEO): Track and analyze how AI-powered search engines (like Google's AI Overviews and ChatGPT Search) process queries, and help develop strategies to optimize content for AI-driven visibility.
  • SEO Keyword & Competitor Research: Identify high-value search terms and analyze competitor rankings in specific US geographic regions (such as the Chicago metropolitan area).
  • Search Strategy Localization: Collaborate with our international marketing team to ensure global content is optimized for US search intent, regional terminology, and local algorithms.

What We Are Looking For

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited US university (students currently enrolled at top-tier universities studying business, marketing, or tech programs are highly encouraged to apply).
  • A strong interest in how search engines work, artificial intelligence trends, and digital marketing.
  • Familiarity with basic SEO concepts (experience with tools like SEMrush, Ahrefs, Bright Local, or Google Analytics is a plus, but not strictly required).
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of working independently in a remote environment.
  • A reliable internet connection and access to a personal computer.

What We Offer

  • Ultimate Flexibility: 100% remote work. You choose the 5 hours a week that work best for your class schedule.
  • Cutting-Edge Skills: Tangible, hands-on experience not just in traditional SEO, but in emerging GEO (AI search) strategies that will make your resume stand out.
  • Global Exposure: Work directly with a diverse, international team and learn how a global digital agency operates.
  • Mentorship: Direct guidance and networking opportunities with agency leadership.

To Apply: Please submit your resume and a brief cover letter (or a short note) explaining your interest in search marketing, AI search trends.

This is what this question poses: When do you focus and start working seriously? What are the hours you work optimally? Are you a night owl? A morning bird? 9. HOW DO YOU PREPARE FOR A MEETING AND PREPARE A MEETING? WHAT DO YOU SEE HAPPENING DURING THE MEETING?

Just as communication is essential when working remotely, so is organization. Because you won't have those opportunities in the elevator or a casual conversation in the lunchroom, you should take advantage of the little time you have in a video or phone conference...

10. HOW DO YOU USE TECHNOLOGY ON A DAILY BASIS, IN YOUR WORK AND FOR YOUR PLEASURE?
