Long-Form YouTube Video Editor – Real Estate & Relocation Channel | Ongoing Work - Contract to Hire

Long-Form YouTube Video Editor | Real Estate Relocation Channel | Ongoing Work

Location: Worldwide / Remote

Budget: $50–$75 per completed video

Video Length: 14–30 minutes (typically 16-22 minutes)

Volume: 4 videos per month

Engagement: Ongoing, starting with a paid trial

About the Channel

I'm a real estate agent and YouTube content creator based in New Braunfels, Texas, serving the Texas Hill Country and greater San Antonio area.

My channel, CPosey Real Estate [ focuses on helping people who are considering relocating to the area make informed decisions about communities, neighborhoods, home prices, and lifestyle.

I'm looking for a reliable, experienced long-form YouTube editor who understands audience retention, pacing, and educational storytelling.

This is an ongoing opportunity for someone who wants to grow with an established content strategy.

Types of Videos

My channel features:

Relocation guides and pros-and-cons videos

Community and neighborhood tours

Educational home walkthroughs

Map tours and area comparisons

New construction and builder comparisons

Local real estate market education

Important: My home tours are not cinematic property commercials. They are educational, personality-driven walkthroughs designed to help potential buyers understand a home, its location, and the surrounding community.

Our YouTube Strategy

I follow a structured YouTube content and lead-generation system.

The goal is to attract qualified relocation buyers, build trust through educational content, and convert interested viewers into real estate inquiries, appointments, and ultimately clients.

Audience retention and average view duration are central to our editing approach.

I provide the content strategy, real estate expertise, and overall video direction. Your responsibility is to execute the editing professionally and consistently.

Editing Responsibilities

You'll be responsible for:

Editing 16-30-minute long-form YouTube videos (I will do the initial edit)

Creating clean cuts and natural pacing

Removing unnecessary pauses, repetition, and dead space

Making opening hooks engaging and concise

Using micro-hooks, re-hooks, and appropriate visual changes to maintain viewer attention

Incorporating relevant B-roll that supports the discussion [I will provide much of the Broll]

Adding simple maps, neighborhood labels, property details, and informative graphics

Maintaining a natural flow during home walkthroughs

Preserving strategically placed calls to action

Incorporating supplied branding and visual assets

Basic audio cleanup, color correction, and sound balancing

Using appropriate background music when needed

Creating smooth transitions between video segments

Maintaining consistent editing quality and following revision instructions

Preparing final videos for YouTube publication

The objective is to keep viewers engaged without unnecessary visual effects or distracting editing techniques.

Editing Style & Audience Retention

I'm looking for someone who understands how to keep viewers watching long-form educational content.

Our editing approach includes:

1. Strong Opening Hooks

The first 12–25 seconds should immediately deliver on the video topic and give viewers a reason to keep watching.

Avoid long introductions, unnecessary logos, and slow openings.

2. Effective Pacing

Remove unnecessary footage while preserving important educational information and my natural speaking style.

3. Micro-Hooks and Re-Hooks

Use natural transitions, strategically placed visuals, and existing narrative teasers to maintain interest throughout the video.

4. Purposeful B-Roll and Graphics

Use visuals to explain the information being discussed, especially neighborhoods, locations, home features, and market comparisons.

Graphics should be accurate, useful, and easy to read on televisions and mobile devices.

5. Natural Home Tours

Home tours should feel like viewers are walking through the property with a knowledgeable local real estate agent.

We want informative, engaging walkthroughs—not cinematic luxury real estate productions.

6. Calls to Action and Watch Sessions

Preserve planned calls to action and help create natural transitions that direct viewers toward related videos.

What I Provide

To make the editing process efficient, I will provide:

Recorded video footage with the initial Edit.

Video topics and content direction

A structured YouTube content strategy

Branding assets and style references

Available local B-roll and supporting materials

Direction regarding maps, graphics, and important information

Feedback and revision instructions

I am not expecting the editor to independently develop the channel strategy, research real estate markets, write complete scripts, or generate leads.

I'm looking for strong execution, attention to detail, and a consistent editing partnership.

Requirements

Experience editing complete 16-30 minute YouTube videos

Understanding of audience retention and long-form storytelling

Experience with educational, real estate, relocation, or travel-style content preferred

Ability to incorporate relevant B-roll and simple graphics

Proficiency in professional video editing software

Strong attention to detail

Reliable communication

Ability to follow instructions and meet agreed deadlines

Willingness to learn and maintain our established editing style

Experience reviewing YouTube audience-retention analytics is a plus but not required.

Budget & Ongoing Work

Budget: $50–$75 per completed video. Additional Commissions will be available as leads convert to sales.

The initial workload is four videos per month, with potential for additional work as the channel grows. There will be a possibility for a second channel sometime in the future for a different business.

I'm looking for a dependable long-term editor rather than someone interested in occasional one-time projects.

We will begin with one paid trial project to evaluate editing quality, communication, and fit.

To Apply

Please answer the following questions:

Provide links to 2–3 complete long-form Real Estate Relocation YouTube videos you've personally edited. Short-form reels and cinematic real estate commercials are not what I'm looking for. This is not a channel I am trying to go viral on.

Have you edited real estate relocation, neighborhood tour, travel, or educational YouTube content?

What techniques do you use to improve audience retention in a 15–20-minute video?

What is your turnaround time for a typical 18-minute video?

What is your price per completed video, and how many revisions are included?

Can you consistently complete four long-form videos per month?

Please begin your application with the words "Relocation YouTube Editor" so I know you've read the full posting.

Paid Trial

We'll begin with one paid trial video.

I'll evaluate the finished product based on:

Quality of pacing and storytelling

Audience-retention editing techniques

Accuracy and relevance of B-roll and graphics

Natural editing of educational home tours

Ability to follow direction

Communication and turnaround time

If the trial is successful, the goal is to establish an ongoing working relationship.

I'm looking for an editor who understands that the best YouTube editing doesn't distract from the content—it makes valuable information easier to watch, understand, and remember.
