[Remote] UPS Field Engineer- Dallas TX
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Nationwide Power Solutions provides sales and service for uninterruptible power supplies, UPS batteries, and other critical power components. The UPS Field Engineer will maintain and service customer critical power equipment, independently perform preventative maintenance, respond to emergencies, troubleshoot systems, complete repairs, and support commissioning and customer education.
Responsibilities
- Independently schedule and conduct preventative maintenance services
- Respond to emergency calls 24/7 when necessary
- Troubleshoot critical power systems to identify root causes and carry out repairs efficiently to minimize downtime
- Adhere to job requirements and strive for accuracy in all tasks
- Focus on preventative maintenance as a Critical Power Professional™
- Aim to achieve Zero Defects (ZD) and eliminate costly errors
- Ensure customer satisfaction through effective communication and education on equipment operation
- Maintain and secure company tools and equipment
- Keep personal vehicle in safe condition and maintain current insurance and licenses
- Support sales opportunities by recommending critical power equipment and related products

Skills
- Minimum of an Associate's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering technology or a related field
- At least 4 years of experience in servicing, troubleshooting, installing, and maintaining critical power or similar equipment
- Willingness to learn technical skills through various training methods
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
- Self-motivated and able to independently manage workload
- Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Previous experience in critical power field service
- Proficiency in the use of electrical/electronic test equipment and understanding of fundamentals

- Skill in evaluating the operating conditions of equipment
